About Tugce Ari - Professional Photographer

Hi,
I’m Tuğçe Arı, an architect and photographer based in Japan.

After living in Tokyo for several years and working as an architect at Kengo Kuma & Associates for six years, I now work independently, blending architectural, interior, and furniture design with my passion for photography.

While architectural photography is my main focus, I also shoot cars, objects, people, and cityscapes. My work spans both digital and analog formats, and I enjoy experimenting with various cameras, especially models from the ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s, to capture a nostalgic, millennial vibe.
In addition to photography, I also enjoy filming videos.

Some of my most notable photography work includes the Engawa – Centro de Arte Moderna Gulbenkian and the Portugal Pavilion for Osaka Expo 2025, both designed by Kengo Kuma & Associates. My work has also been exhibited in collaboration with the Portuguese Embassy in Tokyo:

If you have a project or an idea you'd like to explore through photography, feel free to reach out, and we can collaborate to bring it to life! :)

Cheers!
